Sunday in the Country 2009 can go down in the books as a massive success!
Country acts including Darius Rucker, Little Big Town and Zac Brown joined forces to entertain their fans at the Merriweather Post Pavilion on Sunday, September 27th.
Justin Jones kicked off the event, followed by Love & Theft, Trent Tomlinson, Jason Michael Carroll, Keith Anderson, Zac Brown, Little Big Town and Darius Rucker.
Rucker, the headliner of the event, is hot off of a summer tour with Rascal Flatts. The former Hootie and the Blowfish frontman has found major success on the country scene!
If you missed Sunday in the Country, don’t fret – it will come again next year!

There are just 13 days left until WPOC’s “Sunday in the Country,” which has become an annual tradition in the MD/DC/NoVa area. Now that you’ve gotten your tickets, you’re probably wondering who you’re going to be hearing at what time and what you’re going to be doing between acts.
The “Sunday in the Country” Web site has compiled a list of FAQs, including:
Q) What can I do while I wait between the acts?
A) Visit the many Sunday in the Country Sponsors located on the grounds
there is something for everyone!!

A) The concert will be over approximately 9:45pm.

Q) What can we bring with us?
A) Blankets are welcome.
Only one empty or factory sealed water bottle allowed per customer.
Personal Food items in clear, disposable, non glass containers are permitted.
If you have concerns about weather bring a slicker or rain jacket. No umbrellas or any view obstructing objects are not permitted.
